So this is my second one. I bought 1st one for 1st baby which was a single cooker. First off it’s a fantastic cooker. Easy and fast prep. My 3 issues with it were (1) it does not last as long. Parts started to fall apart with 1st one after few months of use. (2) the due does not have second left bucket meshing. It only steams. It was unfortunate that I found that out like 4 weeks after use. At first I thought it may be broken but then I read up on tech support and it did say it it’s by design. So do know you are buying duo steamer, not duo steamer + mesher. (3) there’s no indicator on unit as to how much water to poor. I just kept posting until it overfill. I just completed forgot that you have to measure with the bucket which in my opinion is a really bad design. I think you can improve it by showing how much to pour on the device itself. And what’s really frustrating is that after 4 years (buying for second baby now) it’s still has not been fixed. Hence I’m leaving you guys comment here. Fix this part. It’s annoying it overfills Bc it goes all over kitchen counter. Other then that it’s a fantastic product I use it once or twice a week to make my batch for the week and then follow up with day off meshing. This product would normally get 5 stars, because I love it, but I did have to dismantle it and replace the belt upon arrival to get the blades to actually spin. I didn't mind, and their customer service rep said I could either try it myself or do an exchange and this handy girl looked at the 4 fruits and veggies already cooked up and ready to blend sitting around her kitchen and just didn't want to wait for a replacement.Aside from that, I really do love this. I was dubious about its usefulness since I already have a steamer and a food processor at home, but I'm glad I tried it. My food processor doesn't get purees smooth enough for Stage 1 and some Stage 2 foods, and I was using waaaay too many dishes and pots to get everything steamed or boiled or baked and then pureed. I imagined that this would be very limited in the size of the pitchers and I thought I wanted to make large batches of baby food at a time - but again I was wrong. Each pitcher will hold two large pears and that ends up being 13oz of baby food (less dense items like a full pitcher of broccoli will get you 7oz). Making more than that at once just meant I was filling my freezer with large batches of purees in a consistency that she'll only eat for 2 months, max. My baby needs gradually chunkier food and gradually expanding flavors, and since she doesn't eat much at each sitting and has fewer "meals" than we do anyway, the 13oz of pears will last us 10-13 days at Stage 1 and 5-6 days at Stage 2. Plus, it's EASY while making broccoli for your own dinner to just turn and throw a handful of broccoli in the Babycook and get enough portions for that night and the rest of the week. I like not having to remember how many minutes to steam each food, since the amount of water you put in controls the time it steams and almost all veggies are level 3 and almost all fruits are level 2. Easy! I'm semi-addicted to it and find 20 minutes each night to blend up whatever we have lying around, even when I'm alone with the baby. The only part you can't safely do one-handed is the chopping prep. After that I can carry my daughter around and do everything else, including get the purees into ice trays and in the freezer. Win!!Pros:Great size of pitchers means quick prep and leftovers to freezeTwo pitchers means two different foods are made easily at onceOperation is incredibly simple, and no memorization of timing is neededStylishQuieter than food processor or blenderPurees much more smoothly than food processor (pic included)Washes up easily after each batchPitchers don't stain, even after sweet potatoes and beetsSelf-contained, not a bunch of parts lying around to be stored (unlike my food processor)Requires little counter space - plenty of room in front of the machine to chop and lay out freezer traysCons:Only one side blends (but it didn't slow me down much)Had to replace the belt (hopefully not a frequent problem)ExpensiveEs fácil de usar y muy útil, pero se mancha fácilmente.Puse a cocinar zanahoria y así quedo, nada le quita la manchaThis gadget makes making homemade baby food easier than even schlepping to the store to buy pre-made baby food. It is worth every dollar. The amount of money I have already saved on baby food makes it a smart purchase. I have used this 3x a day since my baby was 4 months. The top does pop open on it's own when steaming every once in a while (the top is a bit hard to reattach correctly after removing to clean), but other than that -- this thing is incredible.I love knowing exactly what my baby is eating, and being able to make introducing and eating different foods fun for us. If you are iffy on spending more for the double sided one vs the one sided one.... hands down buy the bigger one. I started using both sides a LOT sooner than I would have expected. It saves us so much time... which is very important when you have a little one impatiently waiting in a high chair or you are running late to leave for day care drop off before work. Not gonna lie, on late nights... tired mommy and daddy may have used this once or twice to make themselves some food. BUY IT.I love this thing! I use it to steam my baby’s veggies and fruit for soups and purées. Steams really fast, and makes fruits and veggies perfect texture for blending. It’s an all in one. Great product. I will say, when I first tried using it I thought it was broken because I didn’t know I had to put water in the water tank. I read the instructions several times and didn’t see it anywhere until I watched a YouTube video.I had a baby bullet with my first & made all his food up until he was 1 as it's healthier & cheaper. This time around I knew I'd want to do the same but was worried about time. My boys are big boys always off the charts for their age & my older one could eat a lot which made making his food time consuming as he got older. Can't say enough about this little cooking system. Love how easy & fast it is to use. Love that it's really quiet & so far it hasn't woke my sleeping baby. Love that I can put it in the dishwasher. Most of all I love that I can steam it all in one & not have so many dishes to clean up afterwards cause lets face it who has time even with a dishwasher. I do wish that it came with better instructions or a cookbook like the baby bullet did. I wouldn't say owning a baby food making system is a necessity but having this one is definitely a luxury that helps you save time. Great baby cook. The only downside it the plastic containers in which you cook get stained (carrots for example) also, ours was opening in the middle of cooking so we had it replacedVery easy to use and not too bigTengo problemas con el producto, el agua de la vaporera sale café, no veo instrucciones de limpieza en el manual, uso agua purificada de botella para cocinar, que está pasando? No lo recomiendo...Este producto me ha facilitado la vida! Es una excelente inversión ya que en minutos se puede tener papillas dulces y saladas preparándolas al mismo tiempo. Muy recomendable!
