Description

Kathy Lette brings her inimitable style to this book about a subject close to her heart- the adventures of raising a son with Asperger's. Anyone who knows a person with Asperger's will relate to not just the trials and tribulations, but also the hilarity and joy engendered by this condition. From their inability to decipher social cues to their at times excruciating lack of tact, their inability to lie to their free-floating anxieties, no challenge of raising a child with 'the big A' is left unexplored. This is a novel that, in Kathy's usual hilariously entertaining style, does much to explain and destigmatise this often misunderstood subject. Any mother who has fought through the undergrowth of 'poor parenting' accusations to get a diagnosis and effective treatment for their child will relate to this book, however its witty style allows it to stand up as thoroughly entertaining read in its own right.
